Despite our recent efforts to acquire assurances from the UK government (DIT) to recognise import exemptions given in descriptions of the EU Sanctions against Russia (see link below) and allow us a safe passage of goods imported from Russia, the DIT refused to give their clear view of those sanctions and exemptions, leaving us in limbo over the legality of future import operations. Therefore we have suspended all direct imports of firearms since 2014 and we aslo limited our spare parts supply to only those, which require no firearms license. We will keep our customers updated on this issue whenever we get more information from the UK government. |
EU Council Decision 2014/512/CFSP Notice 2858 / Article 2, Paragraph 4 and UK Government "Imlementation"
3. The import, purchase or transport of arms and related materiel of all types, including weapons and ammunition, military vehicles and equipment, paramilitary equipment, and spare parts therefor, from Russia by nationals of Member States or using their flag vessels or aircraft, shall be prohibited
4. The prohibitions in paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 shall be without prejudice to the execution of contracts or agreements concluded before 1 August 2014, and to the provision of spare parts and services necessary to the maintenance and safety of existing capabilities within the Union |
Please note - all firearms accessories are sold in the UK and abroad on the understanding that they are for personal use and will not be (re-)exported without the pre-requisite authorisation. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that they comply with relevant local licensing requirements
